He still couldn’t get over how he had lost that day. I’ll be waiting.”Ĭhandler tossed and turned in his bed, unable to sleep. “Come back to me when you’ve pushed your Riolu past his limits. Justin chuckled again, turning away from him. He fell over, unconscious.Ĭhandler couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Purple flames shot from his mouth, hitting Riolu at point blank range. He reared his head back and used Dragon Breath. Riolu sighed, preparing to use Rock Smash again. “Not used to losing, huh? Figures, a weakling surrounded by weaker weaklings tends to believe he is strong.” Taking the advantage, Treecko used Absorb to regain some of his health. This tossed Riolu backwards, knocking the air out of him. Before he could reach him, though, Treecko shot up and used Pound on Riolu. Riolu looked back at Chandler, nodded, and then prepared to use Rock Smash to end it. He used this opportunity to follow up with Force Palm, sending Treecko flying into a nearby tree. As Chandler contemplated this, he noticed that Riolu finally managed to score a hit on Treecko. It appeared that Justin and Treecko shared a similar bond. Only trainers with a powerful bond could have their Pokemon fight without orders. They continued like this for many minutes, all without either trainer giving a single command.Ĭhandler was surprised. Riolu did multiple backflips, dodging every single pellet. Treecko jumped backwards, using Bullet Seed to fire multiple pellets at his opponent. Riolu managed to step out of the way, slamming his palm forward to use Force Palm. Riolu moved to strike Treecko with Quick Attack, but Treecko dodged it, bringing his hand down to use Pound. With that, the two Pokemon dashed at each other. “That’s the strategy that weaklings use.”Ĭhandler was fed up with this guy. “I’ll show you that I don’t need to push my Pokemon to make them strong,” Chandler said. Sighing, they left to go join their Trainers. They respected one another, like two equally skilled Samurai. Silently, the two of them vowed to not hold the results of the battle against each other. Riolu and Treecko looked at each other, knowing immediately that they’d be the ones fighting. “Only in a perfect world, is that ever gonna happen,” Venipede stated.Ĭhandler and Justin pointed at each other. If only they’d stop thinking in such a Black and White manner and focus on the Grey.” “Chandler is pretty set in his beliefs, and it appears that Justin is too. “I would, but I doubt he’d listen,” Riolu replied. “Can you tell your trainer to stop insulting mine?” Treecko asked Riolu. Both trainers were equally stubborn, not willing to move an inch in either direction. Riolu and Treecko watched from a distance, shaking their heads at their Trainers. “If you don’t break them a little, they’ll never get stronger!” Justin replied. “Pushing them past their limits will do them more harm than good!” Chandler stated. My goal is to push my Pokemon past their limits to achieve greatness!” “My name is Justin,” he began, “and I’m from the Hoenn Region. I believe that Pokemon should be pushed to their limits through natural and civilized means. “My name is Chandler Allen of Aspertia City. “Who do you think you are, insulting my training methods?”Ĭhandler adjusted his glasses. The Trainer stopped what he was doing and turned to face Chandler. Venipede responded by using Poison Sting, impaling Treecko with her stinger and sending him flying backwards. Treecko used Pound, slamming his fist into Venipede. The two Pokemon were battling each other, both showing immense amounts of skill. One was a Treecko, and the other was a Venipede. When he got there, he saw a Trainer and two Pokemon. Willing to stop it, Chandler ran in the direction of the sound. “There’s a trainer nearby, and he’s training his Pokemon REALLY hard.”Īt the point, Chandler heard a Pokemon cry in pain. “Can’t you hear it?” Riolu looked back and forth in multiple directions. Pidove perched on a nearby tree branch, cocking her head in curiosity. Chandler skidded to a stop, his Oshawott slamming into his leg. Suddenly, he stopped, scanning the area with his Aura. Riolu had ran ahead, scouting the area for any strong Pokemon. Little did he know, however, that a big challenge was just around the corner. With those two and his Riolu, Chandler ran through Route 20, feeling unstoppable. During that day, he’s gotten two Pokemon, both of which are now loyal partners. It’s been a whole day since Chandler started his journey.
